PERMACULTURE DESIGN COURSE 13-27 MAY 2018
LA LOMA VIVA - GRANADA, SPAIN
La Loma Viva is excited to welcome back our mentor, Alex Kruger (South Africa) for the 4th year running! Alex has been a permaculture designer, teacher and social activist for over 25 years and will be the lead facilitator for the PDC. Karen de Vries and Ryan Botha (the La Loma Viva team) will be sharing their knowledge as co-facilitators on the course, as well as the international itinerant investigator, Roman Eisenkolbl (of Soil*Sun*Soul).
The PDC is an inspiring course that connects us to our world. It is a comprehensive, certified permaculture course with international recognition, providing basic skills in a vast array of subjects, to enable you to start designing a world based on the ethics of earth care and people care. Permaculture provides the tools for whole systems thinking, allowing us to understand that we are interconnected and interdependent with all of the living world. It helps us to apply these skills in all our activities and professions, to create a more regenerative way of being, that rehabilitates degraded systems in all areas of life.
The PDC will be held over 14 days at La Loma Viva, where participants will be immersed in an established permaculture farm, will be able to see regenerative systems in action and be nourished by living organic food from our land, lovingly prepared by our brilliant catering team. You can choose to stay in our beautiful eco retreat centre or camp under the olive trees, overlooking the Mediterranean sea and Sierra Nevada mountain range.
The PDC at La Loma Viva provides a top quality educational experience, a break into nature where you can get inspired, a chance to meet like minded friends from around the world, encouragement to become a change maker and demonstrates a way to live harmoniously with the earth. While also having loads of fun!
Please register your interest as soon as possible as places are limited.

La Loma Viva is a non-profit organisation. Permaculture is a grassroots movement and farm projects do not rely on government subsidies but in the support of people who believe in their work. Your course fees go towards covering the expenses of the course as well as the 3 permaculture ethics of:
Earth Care: your contributions go directly towards supporting ecological restoration here at the farm and the ability to maintain a permaculture demonstration site for research and educational purposes. You are supporting the promotion of regenerative agriculture and not supporting industries which are destructive to the planet.
People Care: we are committed to working with very experienced teachers to provide you with high quality education and a lasting inspirational experience. Your contributions go towards supporting local organic food producers, providing a living wage and employment for the teachers, staff and local workers, The people care aspect is about providing our participants with highly nutritious organic food to experience what it is like to eat fresh from the land and which is also prepared by experienced and dedicated chefs. We also care for people by providing comfortable accommodation and facilities for you to focus on your leaning.
Fair Share: We always offer at least one scholarship to someone from the local area or from a disadvantaged financial situation who we would like support. (If this is not advertised it means it has already been filled.) If there is any profit from the course we have sponsored students in developing countries to learn permaculture in their area.
We thank you for your support in creating a more abundant future for all!
